The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed Law No. 2191 -VIII “On amendments to the Law “On State budget of Ukraine for 2017”.

“The document is aimed at effective and targeted use of budgetary funds in 2017, through the redistribution of budget allocations within the approved total expenditure and lending,” – noted in a press-service of the President.

The law, in particular the increase of the cost of providing benefits and housing subsidies to the population for housing and communal services subsidy for implementation of measures for socio-economic development of certain territories, medical subvention to ensure the timely payment of wages to employees of health care institutions.

The law also provides for the preservation to the General Fund of the respective local budgets Fund balances subventions for social and economic development of individual territories and accounts a special Fund – Fund balances subventions for the activities for the development of the health system in rural areas.

According to the law, the expenditures of the General Fund budget increased by 7.6 billion UAH for the provision of benefits and subsidies for payment of housing and communal services.

On 1,7 billion increase the cost of maintaining existing salaries of police and staff of the GTOS.

1.1 billion UAH is allocated for regional development, 0,3 billion UAH for the timely payment of salaries to physicians and treatment of diabetes and kidney failure. 0.2 billion UAH is added to the treatment of citizens of Ukraine abroad.

0.05 billion UAH is allocated for the provision of payments to servicemen of the external intelligence Service, with 0.15 billion for logistical support of intelligence services.

Recall, the Verkhovna Rada adopted this law on 9 November. It shall enter into force on the day following the day of its publication.
