Corruption in Ukraine remains, but the progress in combating it is and it can be observed, including in the economy. This was stated by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko at the 14th annual forum Yalta European strategy.

The President reminded that Ukraine was able to launch an effective mechanism of compensation of the VAT and to abandon the purchase of Russian gas. He also said that the five funds created for investment in Ukraine has already been filled, which shows the confidence of investors to Ukraine.

“2.5 times increase in the budget – including through the fight against corruption. Anti-corruption institutions are not just created, but work”, – said Poroshenko.

The head of state also reminded that Ukraine was launched the world’s largest system of electronic Declaration of incomes and property of officials.
