Ukraine will receive defensive weapons from the United States without fanfare. This was reported in Facebook by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

“As we agreed with President Donald trump, quietly, calmly, Ukraine will receive lethal defensive weapons from the United States,” – said the President of Ukraine.

According to Poroshenko, the decision of the US leadership was confirmed during his yesterday’s conversation with the Secretary of state Rex Tillerson.

“American weapons in the hands of Ukrainian soldiers not to attack, and resolute rebuff to the aggressor, the protection of Ukrainian soldiers and civilians, as well as effective self-defence in accordance with article 51 of the UN Charter,”- said Poroshenko.

He expressed gratitude to the President of the United States Donald Trump and American friends of Ukraine for bipartisan support of the country – and from Democrats and from Republicans and called the decision to provide weapons worthy response to the continued occupation of Ukrainian territory and the failure of Moscow obligations.

Earlier today, ABC News, citing four sources, the U.S. state Department announced that President Donald trump will soon announce approval of its plan of sale of anti-tank complexes of Ukraine, including the Javelin system.

Ukraine’s Ambassador to the United States Valeriy Chaly has confirmed that the American side made a final decision on supplying Ukraine with weapons, including lethal.

Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of the aggressor state Sergei Ryabkov said that the U.S. is in “some sense crossed the line”, announcing the intention to transfer weapons Ukraine direct damaging effect and the supply of weapons can cause a “new victims” in the Donbass.
