The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko vetoed the law on Amnesty adopted by Verkhovna Rada in July. This was reported on the website of the Verkhovna Rada.

The law is returned to Parliament with proposals of the President.

On 7 July the Verkhovna Rada adopted the law No. 4255 Amnesty in 2016, which provides for exemption from punishment for ATU members who have not committed serious crimes.

We are talking about those who participated in the ATO, ensuring its implementation, received the status of combatants and the accused or already convicted for crimes that are not crimes against life and health and not provided by parts 2, 3, 4 of article 408, article 410, parts 2, 3, 4 of article 411 of the Criminal code of Ukraine.
