The Prosecutor’s office of Chernihiv region opened criminal proceedings on the fact of embezzlement by officials of one of state-owned enterprises almost 2 million UAH of budget funds allocated for the project Wall. This reports the press service of the Prosecutor General.

It is established that officials of GP entered into agreements with private enterprises, contrary to the laws obliging the customer to pay in advance and purchase materials at their own expense. However, the execution of works has not been confirmed, documents on amounts of executed works and their cost has not been signed, saying the Prosecutor’s office.

“With the assistance of officials of state-owned enterprises, contrary to the requirements of the law to a private entity without actual execution of works received 1,8 million UAH of budgetary funds”, – stated in the message.

Information on this fact are brought in eRDR under part 2 St. 364 criminal code (abuse of power or official position) of Ukraine. Pre-trial investigation conducted by the police in Chernihiv region, the procedural aspects of the Prosecutor’s office.

In September 2014 led by Arseniy Yatsenyuk, the government approved the project Wall, another name – the European shaft. Its implementation has been provided for 4 billion UAH. Under the project, the planned arrangement of tranches, ditches, fences, and special features on the border with Russia.
