Russian President Vladimir Putin thinks it is expedient the introduction of the Russian regions with the Spa complexes, the so-called resort fee. He stated this during the session of RF state Council Presidium, Interfax reported.

In particular, Putin asked the opinion of the governors of the Altai and Krasnodar territories on the necessity of introducing such a charge and received a positive response.

“If it does, then very carefully, not lifting the payments, unbeknownst to visitors,” – he stressed.

According to Putin, the collected funds must go exclusively to the development of tourism infrastructure.

In turn, the heads of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation Anton Siluanov said that the resort fee can be “50-100 rubles.”

“And the money should go to the development of resorts, for the benefit of tourists. We know that the Council of the Federation support this idea,” – he said.

For his part, the Minister for North Caucasus Affairs Lev Kuznetsov said that the “pilot project” for the introduction of a resort fee will be implemented in four regions – the Altai territory, the Krasnodar territory, the annexed Crimea and in the Caucasian Mineral Waters (Stavropol).
