August 11, Putin held a meeting with Russian security Council to discuss additional security measures in Russian-occupied Crimea.
On 10 August the FSB issued an official statement, which claims that in Russian-occupied Crimea prevented a series of terrorist acts, “prepared by the Main intelligence Department of the Ministry of defense of Ukraine”.
Putin has described as “alarming” information the FSB and accused Ukraine of “terror.”
On August 11, President Petro Poroshenko instructed to bring in enhanced combat readiness units of the Ukrainian troops in areas admingranitsy occupied Crimea and along the line of contact in Donbas.
Russia has occupied the Autonomous Republic of Crimea in 2014 year. The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine officially declared on 20 February 2014 beginning of the temporary occupation of Crimea and Sevastopol by Russia. Key international organizations, including the UN General Assembly has condemned Russia’s actions and called the annexation and occupation of Crimea illegal. Against Russia were imposed economic sanctions.
