The meeting of the Normandy Quartet in Berlin on the conflict in the Donbass will be relevant, if the experts will find specific steps to resolve. This was stated by the head of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in comments to journalists, reports RIA Novosti.
“The trip to Berlin. We agreed with the French President and the German Chancellor, when he spoke recently by phone that the meeting in Berlin would be appropriate only if our associates encountered – they met, I think, Saturday, Sunday in Minsk will move the dialog so far that will give us the opportunity at the summit to secure these agreements,” – said the head of the aggressor state
“If agreements at the level of assistants will not be achieved, then meetings in this format, the Normandy format at the highest level until it’s time”, he added.
On 12 October during a telephone conversation Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Francois Hollande and Russian President Vladimir Putin failed to approve the date for a new meeting in Normandy format.
