The foreign Ministry of Saudi Arabia stated that the Kingdom refuses any negotiations with Qatar, while Doha is not defined clearly its position. It is reported by the Saudi news Agency SPA.

The statement of Riyadh received within one hour after it was reported that the Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman al-Saud had a telephone conversation in which Qatar has offered to start negotiations to resolve the crisis in the Persian Gulf.

The representative of the Saudi Ministry of foreign Affairs also said that the government of Qatar made a statement on the results of the dialogue between the two leaders, “misrepresented the content of their conversation.”

Qatari news Agency QNA reported that “the telephone conversation between the crown Prince of Saudi Arabia and the Emir of Qatar was held at the request of the President of the United States Donald trump”. Saudi Arabia denies this information, claiming that the talks were held on the initiative of Doha.

“All this indicates that the power in Qatar is not serious about dialogue and has continued its previous negative policy. Saudi Arabia announces the termination of any dialogue with the authorities in Qatar, while his side made a clear statement in which it officially declared its position”, – concluded the Saudi official.
