The number of Turks who seek asylum in Germany continues to grow. In August it was 877 filed such filings, more than in any other month since the suppression of the attempted coup in Turkey in 2016. In just 2017 of about 4.7 thousand Turkish citizens had applied for asylum in Germany. This year, the Agency has considered 8.5 thousand of such applications and about 5 thousand people received waivers.
