Inter-parliamentary Assembly of the North Atlantic Alliance (NATO) has decided that the next session in 2020 will be held in the capital of Ukraine. This was announced by the head of the Ukrainian delegation to NATO PA, MP Iryna Friz.
“NATO is granted the application by Ukraine for holding the spring session of the NATO parliamentary Assembly in Kiev. We have provided this right in 2020,” she said.
Freese stressed that “it is not only a demonstration of support for Ukraine’s NATO PA, is evidence of our close cooperation.”
This decision was taken in Bucharest. It is worth noting that at the moment Ukraine is not an official candidate for membership in the Alliance.
