Former state Duma Deputy from the Communist Denis Boronenkov testified in the case against ex-President Yanukovych the Prosecutor General’s office of Ukraine. About it reports the Russian edition of Kommersant.
In December 2016 Boronenkov moved with his wife to Kyiv.
The publication, citing a source said that the former MP himself took the initiative and “went to the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko”. It is not excluded that after the interrogation, Boronenkov Yanukovych announced the suspicion of treason.
Former Russian parliamentarian partially confirmed the testimony previously given by another former Deputy Ilya Ponomarev.
The investigative Committee of Russia suspects Denis Boronenkov in of involvement in the theft of the building in Central Moscow and tried to achieve deprivation of his parliamentary immunity.
January 22 the head of the GPU, Lutsenko said that the Prosecutor’s office questioned the two deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation in the case of ex-President Viktor Yanukovych and they indicate that the mechanism for the introduction of Russian troops on the territory of Ukraine was launched by the Kremlin in December when Maidan was still standing in the center of Kiev.
In the case of treason Yanukovych gave testimony 32 witness.
On 20 January, the Pechersky district court gave the permission to hold against Yanukovych in absentia procedure of pre-judicial investigation on charges of treason.
