Russia has sent Latvia a formal request for legal assistance, claiming to recover more than 20 million euros with the national airline airBaltic. Russia can arrest the aircraft. About it reports DELFI.

Claims on the part of Russia associated with the now insolvent Bank Investbank owned at the time, the main shareholder of Latvijas Krājbanka Vladimir Antonov.

In 2012 Investbank began three civil suit against the former shareholder of airBaltic company Baltijas aviācijas sistēmas”. The Bank is required to return allegedly taken a loan of 18.4 million euros plus interest and a penalty.

The Ministry of justice of Latvia confirmed that from Russia was received the request on legal assistance, however, contained the details of the Agency has no right to disclose.
