The representative of the Russian Federation in the trilateral contact group on conflict settlement in the Donbass Boris Gryzlov said that he had appealed to the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to announce before Christmas an Amnesty to militants. He stated this in an interview TASS.

“I have appealed to Petro Poroshenko with an appeal to declare a broader Amnesty for Christmas. Of course, we will continue this work in the contact group, until people return to their families,” – said Gryzlov.

He believes that there should be arrangements for the exchange of prisoners according to the principle “all for all”.

Earlier, the Ukrainian negotiator of humanitarian subgroups Irina Gerashchenko said that Ukraine has invited the terrorists to release the 228 accomplices in exchange for 42 hostage. She also reported that the Directors of the LC confirmed the presence of only six of the hostages, but the release and Amnesty for more than 440 militants.

Today Gerashchenko said that Ukraine as a goodwill gesture sends the terrorists of DNR/LNR 15 people from the list of 228 persons on the exchange that was earlier fighters.

She also said that Russia refused to conduct in the framework of the Minsk talks, Skype-conferences on the release from captivity of terrorists Ukrainian hostages.
