Russian historian, theologian, political scientist, doctor of history Andrei Zubov said that the international community will not accept the fact of annexation of the Crimea, and Russia will have to suffer from international isolation and sanctions. He stated this in an interview with the Apostrophe.

“I just know that the international community did not accept the fact of annexation of the territory, carried out absolutely at random. So I think that, in order for Russia to return to the world community and become an equal partner for other countries, not a pariah, it will have to somehow solve the problem of the Crimea. As it does, is difficult to me to say,” said Teeth.

According to him, at the time, he was offered one model.

“But, you see, you never know what offer I… Hope that everyone will forget (the occupation of Crimea by Russia, – ed), not worth it. At least in the foreseeable future nobody will forget in life Putin will not forget. Maybe 50 years from now and forget, but not now. Now Russia will have to suffer from international isolation and sanctions”, – said Teeth.

He said that the return of Crimea are really not interested in the Russians, because while Russian society does not associate the worsening of their lives with the Crimea. “And actually, of course, this relationship can be observed,” – said the historian.

Teeth said that the Kremlin hopes Ukraine will not stand the pressure and go actually to the creation of Transnistria in the Donbas.

Russia has occupied the Autonomous Republic of Crimea in 2014 year. The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine officially declared on 20 February 2014 beginning of the temporary occupation of Crimea and Sevastopol by Russia.
