The investigation against the Russian oligarch Konstantin Malofeev, who is suspected of financing militants in the Donbass, stopped. However, Malofeev announced the international wanted list. This is stated in the answer Deputy of Ukraine Vitaly Nevada at the request of the Deputy Serhiy Leshchenko, Ukrainska Pravda online reports.

In response, the national police stated that during the pretrial investigation obtained evidence of the involvement Malofeeva to the creation of illegal paramilitary forces or armed forces (part 5 of article 260 of the criminal code).

According to police, a Russian oligarch reported suspected “manner provided by chapters 6, 11 and 22 of the criminal procedure code of Ukraine”.

“Today, the pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings stopped on the basis of paragraph 2 of part 1 of article 280 (Grounds and procedure for stay of pre-trial investigation) of the code, and Malofeev announced the international wanted list,” reads the response body.

However, in the second paragraph, the text says that the pre-trial investigation is “ongoing”.
