The former head of the Odessa regional state administration Mikhail Saakashvili, who yesterday illegally crossed the Polish-Ukrainian border, accused the officers of national police of stealing his passport. He stated this at a briefing in Lviv.

According to him, it happened on the bus.

“The police came, searched the bus and stole my passport,” Saakashvili said.

He said that his lawyer in Lviv visited the office of the State migration service.

“I am now in Ukraine legally. All the procedures I went through this morning. Wanted to go yesterday but I’m not allowed”, – he added.
