From the sale of the state enterprise Ukrspirt Ukraine may receive from $200 million to $400 million this was announced by Minister of agrarian policy and food of Ukraine Taras kutovyi in an interview with Focus magazine.

“Obstacles to privatization of Ukrspirt I don’t see now. Guessing from the sale of a Corporation, the state will receive from $200 million to $400 million,” he said.

According to him, the agriculture Ministry has developed a model of privatization, which will force investors to compete for the distillery.

“We will set a total limit of food-grade alcohol for the country. After the privatization of each plant, its capacity will be deducted from the overall limit. This will force investors to compete for the most powerful plants, raising the price of the asset at auction”, – said the Minister.

After exhaustion of the limit, the remaining power can be used for bioethanol production or as a production site, repurpose them for other production, added Kutovoy.

“If we talk about the privatization of state-owned companies, it has adopted the law on privatization of Ukrspirt, appointed the new leaders of the great Patriotic and the State food-grain Corporation of Ukraine (SFGCU),” – said the Minister.

Kutovoy also hopes that by the end of the year will be transferred to at least one of these enterprises in the state property Fund of Ukraine.
