“Green” cars has set a new record: in 2017 in the world has sold more than 1.2 million electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids. Compared to the 2016 growth in these segments of the car market was 57%. The majority of cars sold came exclusively to EV s – their share was 66%. Accordingly, the plug-in-hybrids (PHEV) took 34%.

World leader in sales of electric cars for the second year in a row remained China. The electric car market there grew by 72% – more than 600 thousand cars sold. In Europe in 2017 sold 307 thousand electric cars (+38%) and in the United States – about 200 million (+27%).

The highest rate of growth of the electric car market showed Iceland (+248%), Slovenia (+16,6%), Japan (+149%), Portugal (+126%) and Germany (+108%).

Very serious sales of electric cars and hybrids, charging rose in December last year. Just over a month in the world sold more than 170 thousand of these cars – their market share was 2% (+17% compared to November, which was also a record year).
