Interpol promises until September 6 to decide and give an answer about the next steps in the case of fugitive people’s Deputy Oleksandr Onishchenko. About this stated the head of the Specialized anti-corruption Prosecutor Nazar Golodnitsky, reports channel 112.
“Promise until 6 September to decide on further action and next steps on this matter by Interpol”, – said the head of SAP.
According to Golodnitsky, a few days ago Onishchenko might have been in Russia. “He still actively moves. We have information that he was a few days ago came to Russia. The man moved, but we are taking all measures that he was not able to do this anymore”, he said.
On 17 June, the Prosecutor General Yuri Lutsenko was signed and sent to Parliament a submission on the criminal prosecution, detention and arrest Onishchenko, one of the organizers of the corruption schemes for the resale of gas. On 29 June, the Parliament granted the request.
Taking advantage of parliamentary immunity, Onishchenko left Ukraine to go to Russia and later to the UK. In London, he said that prepares a residence permit and has filed a petition to grant him political asylum. The GPU does not exclude that the fugitive MP will move from Britain to Russia.
