The state border service of Ukraine has strengthened border patrols on all sites in connection with the Russian-Belarusian exercises “West-2017” September 14-20. About it the assistant to the head of frontier service Oleg Slobodyan, told the television channel 112 Ukraine.

“These measures carried out since the beginning of September. We have launched the command post exercise, which was a hard border in all directions from the zone ATO, Northern, Western, southern, that is, in all the areas we are strengthening measures at least for the period up to the end of the exercise Zapad-2017”, – he said.

According Slobodyan, in Belarus well before the start of the exercise already started arriving Russian troops.

West-2017 – joint strategic exercises of the armies of Russia and Belarus, will be held from 14 to 20 September. The Russian military began to arrive in Belarus in late July. Officially announced the participation of up to 13 thousand military, anecdotal evidence suggests a much larger group of troops up to 100 thousand people. The exercises will be held in two stages – in Russia and at seven landfills in Belarus.

The Kremlin is likely to leave the military in Belarus, according to the armed forces General staff, and NATO is suspected that Moscow could use the exercises as a “Trojan horse.”

NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov stated that it is impossible to exclude the application of offensive cyberportal of the aggressor country, the Russian Federation, including the respective departments of the army, the FSB and those that are disguised as gangs, to implement the overall strategic plan of the Kremlin.
