South Korea and Japan welcomed the new sanctions of the UN Security Council against North Korea, imposed in response to the latest nuclear test of the country. On it informs Agency Associated Press.
Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said he appreciates what he called “an extremely tough resolution on sanctions”. He added that “it is important to provide an unprecedented level of pressure on North Korea to change policy.”
The representative of the President of South Korea, Park su-Hyun believes it is important that China and Russia agreed to impose stronger sanctions than the previous one. He said that South Korea respects the consensus reached by the international community.
Earlier, the UN Security Council voted unanimously to impose new sanctions against North Korea after the sixth and largest nuclear test of Pyongyang.
