Canadian police have charged the student Alexander Bissonnette in the case of the shooting in the mosque in Quebec – the capital of the eponymous canadian province. It is reported Bi-bi-si.

Shortly before the city court of Quebec will stand the 27-year-old student accused of murdering six people and attempted murder of five people.

The publication says that five people with serious injuries are in hospitals. Doctors on the ground have provided assistance to 12 victims, who received minor injuries.

It is reported that, Bissonnet studied political science and anthropology at Laval University. The campus of the institution is located 3 km from the mosque, where the shooting occurred.

Together with Bissonnette immediately after the attack was arrested a man of Moroccan origin Mohammed khadir. Now it passes on business as the witness.

29 January 2017 in Quebec city, in Canada, the unknown opened fire in a mosque during evening prayers. The canadian edition of CBS reports that the death toll in the attack on January 29 increased to six, eight people were injured. Police arrested two suspects.

The Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau called the attack an act of terrorism.
