The national Bank of Ukraine (NBU) bought from the market of almost $1.5 billion. this was announced by acting Chairman of the NBU Jacob Smoliy, writes FinClub.
“Since the beginning of the year the situation on the market of the national currency was generally favorable and we managed to buy from the market a little less than $1.5 billion. These funds were added to reserves, which now total almost $19 billion,” he said.
Yakov Smoliy added that the national Bank has enough means and tools to smooth excessive fluctuations in the currency market.
