In Ukraine for 15 years in 22 times increase in the number of single mothers and every fifth child in the country is born out of wedlock. This was stated by Minister of social policy of Ukraine Andriy Reva during the press conference on the analysis of the results of the Ministry’s activities in 2017, reports UKRINFORM.
“Every fifth child in Ukraine is born out of wedlock. The number of single mothers has grown over 15 years in 22 times. And so I think that our main goal is to provide youth programs of housing construction”, – he said.
According to him, 10% of couples in Ukraine divorce in the first year after marriage, at a time when in European countries this figure is 1%.
