South Korea has refused to place US nuclear weapons on its territory to deter armed provocations by North Korea. This publication reports The South Korea Herald.
“We never thought that we need to deploy nuclear assets of the United States… the Government respects the global nuclear non-proliferation regime and continues to lead all of the policies in this framework”, – said in the administration of the President of South Korea.
The possibility of deployment of U.S. nuclear weapons in the country discussed earlier, defense Minister of Korea song young-Mu during a meeting with Pentagon chief James Mattis.
