In January-September, 2017 Ukrainian metallurgical enterprises reduced the production of carbon steel compared to the same period last year by 13.6%, to 15.76 million tons this preliminary data leads the Association of enterprises Ukrmetallurgprom, reports UAprom.

The production of cast iron in Ukraine decreased yoy by 17.8% to 14.63 million tons, the total rolled products – by 16.4%, to 13.47 million tonnes.

In addition, the production of metallurgical coke decreased by 20.7%, to 7.7 million tonnes, while steel pipe has increased by 25.9% to 783,7 thousand tons.

Thus, in September the indicators as steel production continued to rise for the third month in a row and was the highest in the last eight months. Moreover, the average daily production of iron and steel peaked in January 2017.

In addition, significantly increased levels of the daily average steel production in September and 64.5 thousand tons, while in August – 62,1 thousand tons, in July – 53.2 thousand tons, in June and 53.1 thousand tons, in may – 54,5 thousand tons, in April – 52.4 thousand tons, in March – 57,5 thousand tons, in February – 61,1 thousand tons in January – 67.8 thousand t

In this case, and the average daily production of pig iron continued to rise in September – the 61.8 thousand tons, while in August to 58.6 thousand tons, in July to 50.1 thousand tons in June – 50,4 thousand tons, in may to 51.3 thousand tons, in April – 48,1 thousand tons, in March – 50,8 thousand tons, in February – 55,9 thousand tons, in January – 61,7 thousand tons.
