The head of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Germany and the head of the OSCE Frank-Walter Steinmeier, and said that before Christmas there will be an exchange of prisoners between the parties to the conflict in the Donbas, Deutsche Welle reports.
While Steinmeier pointed to the stagnation in the implementation of the Minsk agreements. “Parties to the conflict literally buried in their trenches,” he said.
“The ceasefire regime is violated in the solution of major political issues, we are also far advanced,” said the Minister.
Steinmeier also stressed that the lifting of sanctions against the Russian Federation will be possible to think only when we have realized tangible steps in the implementation of the Minsk agreements.
November 29, Steinmeier said that the talks between the foreign Ministers of the Normandy Quartet in Minsk were difficult, but important and necessary.
