Real wages in Ukraine in November increased by 0.5% compared with October. According to the State statistics service, compared to November last year, real wages grew by 21.4%.

The average nominal salary of full-time workers in November compared to October rose by 1.4% in annual terms (compared to November 2016) – 38.3%, amounting to UAH 7479.

State statistics service clarifies that the data are presented excluding the temporarily occupied by Russia Crimea and part of Donbass.

The greatest growth of average wages of full-time employees in the last month recorded in Ternopil – 50.6%, Khmelnitsky – 50.2%, Volyn – on 48,8%, in Kherson – by 48.3%, Zakarpattia region – 47.1%, Zhytomyr – by 46.9%, Vinnytsia – by 46.8%, Ivano-Frankivsk and Kirovohrad – 44.6%, Chernivtsi – 44%, in Cherkasy – by 43.8%, Sumy – 43%, Chernihiv – 42.1%, Lvov – by 40.7%, Dnepropetrovsk – 39,8%, Nicholas – 37.5%, Odessa – by 38.8%, Poltava – 37.2% regions and in Kyiv – by 29.2%.

In the Donetsk and Luhansk regions wage growth amounted to 34.6% and 25.1%, respectively.

The highest level of salaries in the last month recorded traditionally in Kiev – 11643 UAH, the lowest – in Chernihiv region – 5898 UAH.

Earlier, the Minister of education and science, Liliya Hrynevych said that the salary of teachers will grow by 25% from 1 January.

The consolidated education budget in 2018 is 221,9 billion. Due to the increase of wages the amount of the educational subvention increased by 11.2 billion and amounted to 61.7 billion, she said.
