Separate detachment of special forces of the national guard under Azov withdrawn from Mariupol to Zaporizhzhia region. This is stated in the statement published on the website of Azov.

“The basics are indeed withdrawing from Mariupol. By order of the command of the National guard of Ukraine, which is part of a separate detachment of special purpose Azov, 10 days ago part of the unit was developed in Zaporizhia oblast to carry netwaiting task forces”, – is told in the message.

Azov claim that their soldiers were put on duty on the inactive checkpoints and observation posts outside the ATO.

It is noted that the order to release specrate from the ATO zone arrived shortly before the celebration of the Independence Day “when a frontline city needed to do more”.

Azov – a separate detachment of special purpose of national guard, formerly the regiment of patrol service of militia of special purpose internal Affairs of Ukraine, based in Mariupol, Donetsk region. The Minister of internal Affairs Arsen Avakov signed the order about transition of Azov in the composition of the NSU in November 2014.
