The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the plan of measures on deregulation of economic activities for 2016-2017. The corresponding decree was taken at a Cabinet meeting, 23 Aug.
As the press service of the Ministry of economic development, an updated action plan on deregulation has 114 points for the reduction of regulatory pressure in specific industries and in business in General. The plan contains measures to simplify conditions for business in the agricultural and construction industries, energy, telecommunications and the food industry. In addition, the approved measures to reduce the number of bodies of the state supervision (control), as well as opening access to provision of public services, simplification of customs and tax regulation and the like.
“This is an important reform that will improve the investment climate in Ukraine, will help create new jobs and improve the position of Ukraine in the international business ratings,” – said the head of MEDT Stepan Kubiv.
The Ministry noted that the previous plan of deregulation, subject to phasing, were performed by almost 60%. Therefore, most of the updated plan is a new task that is added, taking into account proposals received in the Ministry during the discussion. “We have involved representatives of unions and associations, public organizations, ministries and departments, to ensure that the plan reflected the most painful business needs,” said Maxim Nefedov, Deputy Minister of economic development and trade.
The Ministry stressed that the solution to many of the issues contained in the updated plan of deregulation, continue to depend on effective work of the Verkhovna Rada.
“Reducing the regulatory pressure is one of the key tasks of economic development. We have identified the scope of work in this direction, and gained the support of the government and entrepreneurs,” added Nefedov.
After registration, the deregulation plan for 2016-2017 will be posted on the website of the Ministry of economic development.
