In the National guard of the Ministry of internal Affairs claim that their soldiers were not under the NEB in day of detention of the figurant of so-called business backpacks Alexander Avakov, the son of the Minister of internal Affairs. About it reports Radio Freedom.
“It is reported that soldiers of the National guard of Ukraine to any of the events of 31 October 2017 in front of the National anticorruption Bureau of Ukraine was not involved and close to it were not”, – is spoken in the letter signed by the Deputy commander of the national guard.
Such a response is in the national guard have provided, despite the fact that journalists of the program “Schemes”, a joint project of Radio Liberty and “UA: First”, earlier released a photo stay a few cars, namely the mini-buses and jeeps with numbers of national guard near the building of the NABOO in a time when the detainee was brought there by the son of interior Minister Alexander Avakov to declare his suspicion.

October 31 NABOO raided as part of an investigation on charges of “backpacks Avakov”. Searches were held in Kharkiv at the place of residence of potential defendants in the proceedings. Eyewitnesses reported that the police had surrounded the perimeter around the house with tape. However, despite reports of blocking of the investigation, the parties LIGA.net in the NEB noted that the detectives “did”. During the searches, detained three people: Alexander Avakov, Serhiy Chebotar and Volodymyr Lytvyn, which has previously been associated with the manufacturer of the controversial backpacks for Dniprove.
The Ministry of internal Affairs emphasized that the held at the time the audit revealed no irregularities in the purchase of backpacks for national guard, and the court refused to recognize the actions of officials of the Ministry of interior in the procurement procedure is illegal.
On 1 November the court decided to release one of the defendants in the case – the son of interior Minister Alexander Avakov under the personal obligation. The same measure of restraint the court has appointed the second defendant, ex-Deputy interior Minister Sergei Chebotar.
