Swedish Lutheran Church urged to use gender-neutral language to refer to God. About it reports AP.
Believers are urged to refrain from the words “he” and “Lord” and use “God”.
The Church of Sweden agreed to make changes to the Handbook on vasenmalerei and they will come into force in may 2018.
“From a theological point of view, we know that God is greater than our gender definition, God is not a man,” said the head of the Church of Sweden Antje Jackelen.
With this definition agreed not all Professor of theology at a Swedish University Christer Palmblad said that such a view undermines the doctrine of the Trinity.
