The largest gas producing company in the country the company has lowered the forecast of gas production in 2018 from 16.5 to 16 billion cubic meters because of blocking the licensing of the Poltava oblast Council. About it reports a press-service of Naftogaz of Ukraine.

Appropriate changes were made to the adjusted financial plan of the subsidiary for 2018

“Reduction of the plan gas production to 16 billion associated with the lock Poltava regional Council of the issuance of new licenses for development of fields for 2.5 years”, – stated in the message. Also a negative impact on the production forecast has deferred the adoption of legislative acts, which should simplify the licensing procedures for the production of gas.

“These complications jeopardize the implementation of the strategy “20/20″ (domestic production is 20 billion cubic meters of gas in 2020 – ed.) and the government of Ukraine’s Energy strategy up to 2035”, – emphasized in Naftogaz.

To improve the situation of obtaining approvals in the company’s opinion, may be the adoption of the bill No. 3096-d, the consideration of which the Parliament probably in early December of this year.

“This year we increase the investments in the increase of gas production by almost 2.5 times. The results of the subsidiary show that with new technologies and continuous financing can significantly increase production on existing wells. But the implementation of the strategy of “20/20″ is necessary to develop new deposits, – said the head of Naftogaz Andrey Kobelev. – We are pleased that both the Prime Minister and the representatives of the parliamentary coalition to support the adoption of necessary legislative acts and hope that next week the Parliament will vote for the bill 3096-d”.
