The Pechersky court of Kiev allowed the Chief military Prosecutor’s office to carry out correspondence investigation against the leader of the gang “Somalia” terrorist organization DNR Mikhail Tolstykh, known by the nickname “Givi”.

“Granted permission for the implementation of the special pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings on suspicion of the leader of an illegal armed formation “Somali” terrorist organization DNR by nickname “Givi” in committing crimes under part 3 St. 258; part 1 of article 258-3; part 2 of article 28 part 2 article 437, part 2 of article 28 of part 1 of article 438, part 2 of article 146 of the criminal code of Ukraine”, – stated in the message.

It is noted that during pre-trial investigation had obtained sufficient evidence that the terrorist in January 2015, organized and personally committed near Donetsk airport attacks against the military ATO, mistreated prisoners, killing nine people.

“The suspect declared the state wanted, the court granted permission for its detention and delivery in court for the hearing of the petition on application of preventive measure in the form of detention”, – noted in GPU.

After the proceedings is an indictment against terrorist “Givi” will be submitted to the court. The leader of a band of “Somalia” faces life in prison.

Main military Prosecutor’s office announced the suspected terrorist DNR 23 June this year.
