Solomensky regional court of Kiev satisfied the petition of representatives of Specialized anti-corruption Prosecutor’s office to grant permission for the detention of people’s Deputy Oleksandr Onishchenko. This was announced by the head of SAP Nazar Golodnitsky in Facebook

“Today, the Solomensky district court of Kiev satisfied the petition presented yesterday prosecutors SAP to grant permission for the detention of the organizer of the scheme of theft of gas to people’s Deputy Oleksandr Onishchenko with his drive to participate in the consideration of the petition for application of a preventive measure in form of detention,” wrote Holodnitsky.

He also noted that soon Onishchenko is wanted on the entire territory of Ukraine, as well as in interstate and international wanted list.

June 15, detectives NABS SAP and prosecutors in the investigation of corruption schemes for the resale of gas produced under the joint activities with Ukrgazvydobuvannia, conducted 37 raids in Lviv, Dnieper and Kiev. The result detained 10 people suspected of involvement in the gas circuit, and arrested them for 60 days. New – 11th – defendant in the schema Onishchenko was detained on 28 June while trying to travel to the Russian Federation.

June 17, the attorney General signed and sent to the Parliament a proposal of SAP about consent on bringing to criminal responsibility, detention and arrest Onishchenko, one of the organizers of the corruption schemes for the resale of gas. On 29 June, the Parliament granted the request.

Taking advantage of parliamentary immunity, Onishchenko left Ukraine to go to Russia and later to the UK. In London, he said that prepares a residence permit and has filed a petition to grant him political asylum.

Today, the Solomensky district court of Kyiv has arrested funds on the Deposit accounts opened with Trasta komercbanka (Latvia) in the name of Onishchenko.
