The Pechersky regional court has appointed the chief of the public security Department of the national guard Vladimir Hrinak a measure of restraint in the form of personal liability, denying the GPU in the petition for the appointment of a night of house arrest. Prosecutors told the court that Hrinak was not on-call investigator and was reported missing in mid-August. He himself says that was in business trip in the area ATO.
The Prosecutor General’s office suspects of Hrinak in the organization of the storming of the Maidan on 18 February 2014 and in the distribution of bonus to employees of the Eagle for beating protesters. At that time he was Deputy head of the Department of public safety, which was considered as “curator” for the Berkut and other special police.
In 2016 Hrinak bailed by the Deputy Andrey Levus and Viktor Bondar. They then said Hrinak during Euromaidan cooperated with the protesters.
