The Prosecutor’s office of Autonomous Republic of Crimea began pre-trial investigation to arrest and conduct searches of housing Ukrainian lawyer Emile Kubedinova in the occupied Crimea. Reports a press about it-service of Prosecutor’s office of ARC.

Prosecutors said that pre-trial investigation initiated three criminal proceedings on signs of the criminal offenses provided for by article 146 (illegal imprisonment), article 162 (violation of the inviolability of the home), article 397 (interference in the activities of the defender or representative persons) of the criminal code of Ukraine.

The grounds for the start of the investigation was the kidnapping and carrying out searches of accommodation and working office of the Ukrainian lawyer Emile Kubedinova that protects the interests of citizens of Ukraine on the temporarily occupied territory of the Crimea Peninsula.

26 January 2017 it was reported that in Bakhchisaray, Russian occupants kidnapped two Crimean Tatars – Seyran Salieva and Emil Kubedinova. Russian propaganda, the media reported that the city held a special operation of the FSB to eliminate the cells of Hizb ut-Tahrir, which Russia declared a terrorist.

On the same day the occupants Kubedinova sentenced to 10 days of administrative arrest.

Russia has occupied the Autonomous Republic of Crimea in 2014 year. The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine officially declared on 20 February 2014 beginning of the temporary occupation of Crimea and Sevastopol by Russia. Key international organizations, including the UN General Assembly has condemned Russia’s actions and called the annexation and occupation of Crimea illegal. Against Russia were imposed economic sanctions. For the implementation by Moscow of the so-called elections with the participation of the Crimea in 2016-m to year the Parliament of Ukraine recognized the Russian state Duma is illegitimate.
