Detained in the occupied Crimea by the FSB of Russia Dmitry Dolgopolov had previously served in the armed forces. This was announced by the speaker of the General staff of Ukraine Vladyslav Seleznyov in Facebook.

He doubts that Dolgopolov was in the Crimea “under deep cover”.
The sanction of article 275 of the criminal code provides imprisonment for the term up to 20 years.
On 29 September, the website of the FSB said that Dolgopolov arrested for alleged spying for Ukraine.
Russia has occupied the Autonomous Republic of Crimea in 2014 year. The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine officially declared on 20 February 2014 beginning of the temporary occupation of Crimea and Sevastopol by Russia. Key international organizations, including the UN General Assembly has condemned Russia’s actions and called the annexation and occupation of Crimea illegal.
