German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that Germany needs to react strongly to the arrest in Turkey of two more Germans. About it reports Reuters.

Just on political charges in Turkey arrested 12 German citizens, including a journalist, which hold more than 200 days.

“Given recent events, perhaps you need to reconsider them (the relationship with Turkey – ed.)”, – said Merkel.

On 29 June 2017, official Berlin has rejected the request of the Turkish authorities on a public speech by Erdogan in front of compatriots in Hamburg during the summit of the Big twenty.

9 July 2017 Germany began to withdraw its troops, which supported an international operation to fight ISIS, Turkish military base of Incirlik. The reason for the withdrawal of the contingent was a ban by the Turkish authorities of the German parliamentarians to visit the soldiers of the Bundeswehr.
