At the moment, the average retail price of liquefied natural gas to Ukraine should be about to 12.2 UAH/l. this is stated in the letter of Ministry dated September 8, addressed to the Cabinet of Ministers, Ministry of economic development, Antimonopoly Committee and industry associations, according to enkorr.
“Auction №43-the Ukrainian interbank currency exchange PJSC Ukrnafta sold 4 680 tons at an average price of 20 525 UAH/t. a sample calculation: if the wholesale price of 20 500 UAH/t, the retail price needs to fall to about 12.2 UAH/l,” the letter says.
This price was the result of the auction of PJSC Ukrnafta, held on the day of dispatch of the letter, 8 Sep. Then Ukrnafta sold all asset of one company of shaved Privat group at a price substantially below market. Cost of sales were 2 875 UAH/t below the trading results of the subsidiary, held two days earlier. Gas customers UGD steel 30 companies.
For 7 months of 2017, domestic production of LPG consumption balance was 27%, the remaining volume is imported resource.
On September 12, the retail prices of liquefied petroleum gas average for the country was 15,31 UAH/l, the wholesale price was $ 23 800 UAH/t.
The price of LPG in August, has set an absolute record for all history of observations. For the month of liquefied petroleum gas rose at the gas station in half, and wholesale prices doubled.
On August 30 the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that the price of liquefied natural gas is expected to decline in the second half of September.
Market participants and experts believe that the price of liquefied petroleum gas has passed the peak values, the stabilization of the market with the consequent decrease of prices is expected in late September – early October.
29 Aug Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman instructed relevant ministries and agencies to deal with the situation on the liquefied gas market and to take measures to reduce the cost of fuel. The Antimonopoly Committee has started an investigation.
