The foreign Ministers of the League of Arab States is carried out in the Egyptian capital’s emergency meeting discussing the actions of Iran in the region. About it reports Radio Freedom.
It is noted that the meeting was held during a special tension between the two countries-rivals in the region – Saudi Arabia and Iran, as Riyadh and Tehran backing opposing conflict in Yemen.
The initiator of the meeting was Saudi Arabia, which pointed to “violations committed by Iran in the Arab region, which undermine security and peace… all over the globe”.
4 November, Prime Minister of Lebanon Saad al-Hariri, an ally of Saudi Arabia, left his post, citing danger to his life, after which Riyadh has accused Iran of meddling in Lebanese Affairs.
On 13 November, the mission of Saudi Arabia to the UN announced its intention to open airports and seaports in Yemen, which was blocked by a coalition led by the Kingdom from November 6.
