The chief of the General staff – Commander-in-chief of the armed forces Victor Muzhenko demanded of commanders at all levels to comply with the order granting leave for family reasons. This is stated in the message of the Legal service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Facebook.
“Family leave and other good reasons, preserving cash collateral not longer than 10 calendar days are provided to servicemen in the period from the date of mobilization until the introduction of martial law or until adoption of the decision on demobilization (item 17, article 10-1 of the law on social and legal protection of servicemen and members of their families”, – is told in the message.
Legal service APU notes that the decision to grant such leave is made on the basis of substantiated reports of soldiers.
Military must provide proof of the need for leave: copies of certificates or certificates of birth, marriage, severe illness, etc.
According to the report, commanders determine the duration of leave for family reasons.
Earlier it was reported that the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on July 22, 2014 signed the law № 1589-VII, which regulates the granting of military leave during mobilization or wartime.
