Prosecutor Ruslan Kravchenko has accused Maxim of Gerasko, a new state attorney, Viktor Yanukovych, in delaying the trial. He said this in comments to journalists after the meeting of the Obolonsky district court of the capital, reports UKRINFORM.
“The defender has not used a single day to even come and get copies (criminal proceedings – ed.) from the prosecution,” – said the Prosecutor.
In his opinion, this is done in order to “delay the processing time trial and time of trial of this case.”
Today, the Obolon district court of Kiev declared a break in consideration of the case of treason Yanukovych to 21 September 2017. Lawyer Yanukovych asked the court to give him time to familiarize with the case materials. In his words, “ten working days to study the materials, it is an unreal time.”
Earlier, the Prosecutor Kravchenko were accused of delaying the process previous state attorney Yanukovych Vitaly Mashechka after he refused to represent the interests of Yanukovych in court.
