The President of Kosovo Hashim Thaci on Thursday nominated former field commander of the Kosovo Albanians and former head of the regional government of Kosovo within Serbia, Ramush Haradinaj as Prime Minister. About Thaci said on his page in Facebook.

“Based on my constitutional powers, I have appointed Mr. Ramush Haradinaj for the formation of the new government of the Republic of Kosovo, proposed by the coalition,” he said.

On Saturday it approved a new Cabinet of Ministers, said the Parliament speaker Kadri Veseli. He was elected Thursday to a second term. He is also a member of the Democratic party of Kosovo (PDK) and former field commander of the Kosovo Liberation army (KLA).

Party Haradinaj’s Alliance for future of Kosovo is part of a coalition called Military wing. She won the election in June but did not receive enough votes to form the government and so formed a coalition with two other parties.

For several months the Association headed by the President’s Democratic party of Kosovo, blocked the election of the speaker in Parliament, and thus prevented the formation of a new government. But today, the speaker chose and the Parliament can start work.
