The high Council of justice dismissed judge of the fluent of the Dnieper district court of Kyiv Nikolay Chaus. The rationale for this decision was the truancy judge. This information was reported by the press service of the VSP following today’s meeting.

“The high Council of justice decided to dismiss Chaus Nikolai Alekseevich from the post of judge of the Dneprovsky district court of Kiev on the basis of paragraph 3 of part six of article 126 of the Constitution of Ukraine,” – announced the decision of the President Igor Benedick.

Previously, the third the disciplinary chamber of the www came to the conclusion that the Chaus “unreasonably absent from work for a long time” and “consciously neglect the duties and violates the oath of a judge.” All this, according to the Board of VSP, “denigrates the title of judge and undermines the authority of justice.”

March 1, 2017, he surrendered to the police in Moldova, where he asked for political asylum (he was denied). Kiev has requested the extradition judge in Ukraine, however, according to the head of SAP nazara Golodnitsky, this question depends on the decision of the President of the Moldovan Igor Dodon. Interpol is looking for 50-year-old Chaus in terms of “bribery”.

In August 2017 third disciplinary chamber of the court decided to open vs Chaus disciplinary proceedings, and in early October, VSP decided that he was temporarily suspended from his duties.
