The international monetary Fund (IMF) forecasts a current account deficit of the balance of payments of Ukraine in 2017 at the rate of 3.3% of GDP. This is stated in the overview of the world economy (World Economic Outlook), published on the official website.

Earlier, namely in may, the IMF predicted that this figure will reach 3.6% of GDP.

At the same time, the Fund downgraded the rating of the current account deficit of the balance of payments of Ukraine for the next year from 2.9% to 3% of GDP. In 2019 the rate will remain at the same level.

IMF has retained its growth forecast of Ukraine’s GDP in this and next year by 2% and 3.2%, respectively. In 2019, the expected growth of Ukraine’s economy by 4%.

The IMF has also retained the forecast of inflation in Ukraine at the level of 10% this year and 7% in 2018.
