Polish MEP Jacek Saryusz-Wolski intends to raise the issue of non-admission of Mikhail Saakashvili on the territory of Ukraine at the next meeting of the legislative body of the European Union. About the MEP said in an interview with Polish radio, reports Onet.pl.
Saryusz-Wolski called the current behavior of official Kiev against Saakashvili “a violation of European standards”, which Ukraine pledged to observe in the framework of the Association agreement with the EU.
“Cannot be excluded from political life and deprived of citizenship on the basis of false accusations, refusing entry to the territory of Ukraine and proceeding in the Ukrainian court”, – said the MEP, adding that “it is quite uncivilised habits”.
Also Saryusz-Wolski claims that the scandal surrounding former head of the Odessa regional state administration allegedly intervened with the Polish authorities, although the Minister of foreign Affairs of Poland Witold Waszczykowski said that the incident with Saakashvili is an internal affair of Ukraine.
