Judge Chervonozavodsky district court of Kharkiv Viktor Yezhov, who shall preside in the process against former-mayor of Slavyansk Nonlinear Stay, recused from opening against it proceedings for promoting terrorist activities. About it during the next court session on the case Shtepa told the presiding judge at the trial, the judge, reports UNIAN.

After the meeting, Yezhov reported on the replacement of one of the judges Board for being a long leave of absence, and also that representatives of the state prosecution said the withdrawal of the presiding judge.

Yezhov said that the document on the withdrawal received in the office of the court 26 Jan.

“I move to dismiss. Say that for me there are criminal proceedings for assistance to the terrorist activity,” the judge said.

After this message the defendant. began loudly to resent. The judge noted that the criminal proceedings on the fact of promoting a terrorist organization (part 1 of article 258-3 of the Criminal code of Ukraine) entered in the Unified register of pre-judicial investigations on January 25.

Yezhov also said that, given these circumstances, he submits a resignation. The meeting was adjourned.

The former mayor of Slovyansk Nelly Shtepa is accused of infringement of territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine. She faces a life sentence.
