Germany’s largest platform for buying bitcoins in the near future intends to add support for Ethereum in the next few weeks, according to Cryptocoinsnews.

“Initially, the demand for altcoins was not. For a long time the second place in the list of cryptocurrencies took Litecoin, but with the advent of Ethereum, everything changed, and the demand for altcoins began to grow rapidly,” – said the employee of the company in an interview with local newspaper

According to CryptoCompare, the market of the European cryptocurrency exchanges ranked fourth in the world with a share of 5% after Japan, USA and South Korea. However, Europe lags significantly behind the first three. Moreover, Europe has increased its presence from 2% -3% to 5% only as a consequence of the closure of cryptocurrency exchanges in China.

But Europe takes the third place on volumes of trade Ethereum – 7.5% of global turnover.

As reported, the European Commission will toughen punishment for the crime with cryptocurrency.

At the same time, the EU increases financing of two working blockchain-groups in order to organize free Wi-Fi throughout the Union.
